The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, assisting with tax planning strategies, and supporting clients with a variety of accounting and tax-related matters. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a client-focused environment and is looking for long-term growth opportunities within a respected CPA firm. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Conduct tax research and assist with tax planning strategies
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and financial information
- Assist clients with bookkeeping and accounting questions as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Support senior leadership with client engagements and special projects
- Maintain accurate workpapers and documentation
- Stay current on tax law changes and accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- Minimum of 2–3 years of public accounting or tax experience required
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Experience with tax preparation software and accounting systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy seasons
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to client service
