Cost Accounting Analyst (EL19)

Innovative Medical Company in Miami area is seeking an engaged and motivated Cost Accounting Analyst who will assist with managing the company’s inventory assets. This position will report to the Director of Finance and will work closely with the Inventory Operations, Field Operations and Supply Chain departments respectively.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain and evaluate costing in system for accurate valuation of company’s inventory assets
  • Reconcile balances between the sub-ledger to general ledger inventory accounts
  • Analyze inventory variances and ensure corrections are made with timely manner
  • Assist with the month-end Inventory Reporting and year-end Financial Audit activities
  • Responsible for weekly Cycle Count process and assist with quarterly inventory audit
  • Investigate and ensure all inventory transactions are recorded accurately
  • Actively manage field asset tracking through distributor validations and tracking software
  • Assist with Field Auditor on counts and reconciliation of field inventory
  • Process inventory transactions for Customer Service team
  • Assist with analyzing and reviewing Standard Costs and cost roll updates
  • Ad-hoc Reports as needed (Inventory Turnover Rate, Forecast PPV)

 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Candidate should have 2-4 years’ experience in a similar
  • Experience with Accounting and ERP systems (Great Plains and Business Central a plus)
  • Demonstrate advanced experience using with MS Excel (i.e. pivot table creation, v-lookup functions, charts, etc.)
  • Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, have strong problem-solving skills, and have the ability to work well with others
  • Takes personal ownership and initiative
  • SQL or PowerBi experience a plus

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related fields preferred
